Camp Assistant Application

TCSBC Camp Assistants are university music students or recent graduates, who perform alongside TCSBC students, as well as help supervise, plan, and facilitate camp activities. Camp Assistants are also students, who receive expert instruction and mentorship while attending camp.

How to Apply

  1. Prepare an audition video or recording. See below for detailed audition info.
  2. Fill out the online application (below).
  3. Submit a resume
    • Application Deadline: May 15, 2019. Applications submitted after the deadline will be placed on a waiting list.
    • The application fee ($25) and audition video/recording can be submitted via the online application, or mailed to the Delta Community Music School (4705 Arthur Drive, Delta BC V4K 2X5, Canada)


Camp Assistants for String Boot Camp operate in an intern-like capacity, and are compensated by attending camp for free, with all meals and housing provided (A $2000 value!). No additional monetary compensation is provided. Camp Assistants for Jr. String Boot Camp (day camp) are compensated $500/wk.

Audition Info

Camp Assistants serve as music leaders and mentors at the camp, and must play at an ARCT level and beyond. To audition for an open camp assistant position:

  • a) Record a movement of a solo work that best demonstrates your current ability.
  • b) Submit the recording/video with application (online or via mail).
